Two free journaling blocks

I created these two journaling blocks for the Project 365 and wanted to share with you.

They are 2.5" x 3.5". These will be available for only two weeks so get them before they go. Enjoy!

New Project for 2009: Project 365

I have a new project planned for 2009. Have you heard of Becky H.'s project 365? She has come up with a new kit which will allow you to take a picture a day, journal about it and scrapbook it. The kit will be on sale starting on Jan. 1 for under $40. I think that it is a good deal for non scrapbookers. For scrapbookers like me, however, making my own is the best alternative. The concept is not so hard: one double layout arranged so that 7 pictures and 7 journaling blocks fit.

I came up with a few sketches of my own as well as my interpretation of Becky's.






I also have my first two weeks of January pre made already.
Since the year starts on a Thursday, I used the left side of the double layout for my new year's resolutions.

This is, more or less, Becky H.'s idea of the layout. I made my pictures smaller (3"x5") than hers (4"x6") since I do want some of my pattern paper to show.

Special auction eBay to raise money for...

I have a special eBay auction to raise money to help make scrapbooks for a family of three whose little daughter/sister passed away last September on a tragic accident. The little girl was only 7 years old and left behind a devastated mother and two brothers. A group of scrapbookers on scrapbook.com have come together to finish the little girl's scrapbook album and also make each of the brothers a smaller 9x9 album honoring their sister. This however, requires money and time. I have the time but not the money. I already made three 12x12 pages for the mom's album and two 9x9 pages for the brother's album. I made two of these, one for each of the boys' albums.

However, there is no enough money to buy and ship the albums to the family. Because of this, I've listed a special auction in memory of this little girl. It's a tear bear girl wearing a pink, blue and cream dress and a pink santa's hat. The little girl's favorite color was pink.

I'm getting married in 5 months!

I've been engaged for almost a year now but we just bumped the wedding day to May of next year! I'm so exited!
