saturday...happy National Cardmaking Day!

Happy National Cardmaking Day! Since I missed National Scrapbooking Day because my son was just 1 month old then, I figured I'd play along with a few of my favorite challenges today!

First, it's Heartfelt Creation's challenge: to make a card using ANY of our favorite stamps!

Of course, I LOVE their stamps so I used their stamps only to make this card. It's sweet and simple and flat so it can easily be mailed out!

Here's a close up of it:

Next, I played along with Mojo Monday's sketch and came up with this sweet card:

I absolutely loved this sketch! I used soft colors for the background and ran the soft orange cardstock through the Cuttlebug to add some texture. I added a sweet flower on the bottom corner and this pretty butterfly ribbon to divide the two papers. I love how elegant this card came out!

Last but not least, I played along with Our Daily Bread Designs for the first time:

I was very inspired by their top right corner photo in the collage with the soft autumn colors plus the pink. I used scraps of papers to make the background and sewed it all together for a cohesive look. I added a white doily, like on the picture. To embellish the card, I added two beautiful butterflies in soft autumn colors.

Here's a close up of the card:

Thanks for stopping by my blog today!

I also want to say that these cards will all be donated to Operation Write Home, which is why I didn't add any glitter and kept the dimensional embellies to a minimum (you can read about their guidelines here).

Happy National Cardmaking Day friends! :)
