DDOTS Double Dots 100pc.
452255 Grand Calibur

Recollections Paper,  Prismacolor Pencils (PC924, PC933, PC945, PC947),  Tim Holtz Distress Inks (Vintage Photo), StazOn Archival Ink (Jet Black), Tim Holtz Blending tool, Stars Five Shapeabilities, hemp cord, denim fabric, brown and blue buttons

I used the very sweet pictures that Linda (CEO of Heartfelt Creations) sent me of her nephew. I wanted to do a masculine layout with them si I pulled out everything I thought could go well in a masculine layout!

I didn't want to use flower son this layout so I decided to use stars instead. I die cut and embossed a few stars out of orange cardstock. On the largest one, I stamped the My Guy Precut Set making sure that you see the “love this man” side. I added the three alphas ‘lil’ between love and man to read ‘love this lil man’. I used hemp cord to make a lasso around the sweet 2"x3" picture of this little guy to accent it. I added a toy truck and cowboy boots too.

I made a rosette with the a border from the Decorative Butterfly-Border Die and added a heart and button as the center.

Here's a better view of the left side. I have some layered cardstock stars, denim stars, the rosette, a sticker sentiment from Echo Park and the hemp cord to look like rope. Of course, I also distressed all the layers to make the layout more masculine.

Here's a view of the right side of the layout. You can see how I used the hemp cord to lasso the smaller picture and bring attention to it.

Here is the step by step write-up for this layout:
Distress the blue pattern paper by making small ribs on the paper and crumbling the corners. Using Tim Holtz blending tool, ink the edges with Vintage Photo. Adhere this paper unto brown cardstock. Distress an 8.5”x8.5” orange paper Classic Editions Paper Collection and adhere over the center of the layout. Add two slightly distressed strips of papers on the left side of the page. Add your large picture slightly off centered and add a smaller one on the right side. Die cut and emboss a few stars out of orange cardstock. On the largest one, Stamp the My Guy Precut Set making sure that you see the “love this man” side. Add the three alphas ‘lil’ between love and man to read ‘love this lil man’. On the second largest, stamp the Tattered Background Precut Set and use it as the base for another smaller brown star. Use pop dots to give them dimension. . Leave the third one as is. Die cut two more stars out of a denim fabric. Die cut a border from the Decorative Butterfly-Border Die. Fold back and forth every 0.5” or so in the peaks and valleys. Make a rosette with this strip and add a heart and a button as the center. Stamp and color using Prismacolor Pencils the truck from the Antique Truck Precut Set, the rope, boots and hat from the Western Collage Precut Set, and two sets of boots from the Birch Tree Precut Set. Die cut or fuzzy cut them accordingly. Add the embellies to the bottom left and right corner as shown. Add a hemp cord around the layout as shown. Finally, add three blue buttons on the left side of the picture.
