In honor of my hubby's birthday next week (11/07) and mine as well (11/08), I made this birthday card using the new Vintage Floret Collection.  Have I mentioned how much I love this collection?

I used ruffles and bling with distressing and masculine colors to make this card and I absolutely love how it turned out! The flowers was done by stamping and die cutting two of each size blooms and crinkling them. I adhered the flowers over the stamped background image, added some ruffles on the edges and finished it off with two butterflies.

Here is the step by step write-up for this layout:

Cut a 12”x5” cardstock and fold in half. This will be your card base. Stamp the Bold Vintage Floret Background Precut Set on light brown cardstock with brown archival ink. Using the blending tool and the Vintage Photo Distress Ink, lightly and randomly distress this piece. Trim down to 5”x3.75” and adhere unto the dark brown cardstock base. Add trim top both the top and bottom. Stamp the sentiment with the Perfect Medium over the top in the center. Go over it with Perfect Pearls to make it stand out. For the flowers, stamp and die cut one of each size of the bold flowers from the Bold Vintage Floret Precut Set and Mini Vintage Floret Precut Set using Tim Holtz Wild Honey Distress Ink. Make an extra one of the largest flower and the 5 petal pointy flower. Crinkle each petal and layer your flower, staggering the petals. Stamp and die cut two leaves from the Botanical Floral 2 PreCut Set and add leaves and blooms over the stamped bold image. Stamp and die cut two butterflies and randomly adhere them to the card. Add pearls to the butterflies’ bodies and the smallest flower’s center. Finally, add stickles to both the butterflies and blooms.
