friday...ScrapThat! July Kit-Layout #2

Happy Friday! Hubby and I got back home Thursday morning from our vacation. We had such a great time! However, I think I'm getting a little sick. OH WELL! Lot's of rest for me in the next few days (although we do have to drive down to Miami this weekend for a wedding)! :)

Today I want to share my second layout for ScrapThat! using their July Kit.

"The Cake" Layout
I used the Main Kit, The Embellishment Add On and Flower Add On for this layout. The doily and Dusty Attic chipboard are from my stash. The larger picture was completely spontaneous as hubby and I were feeding each other cake and when he was feeding me he pulled the spoon out of mouth practically, hence my "what just happened" face. Although not a perfect picture, I love this one picture the most because of the sweet memories attached to it.

I handmade the leaves and butterfly as well as the title to match the rest of my wedding pages.

I wanted this layout to be as neutral as possible since I was using a lot of pictures (4 pictures in a 12"x12" paper!) so I opted to have little tears on the background as well as stitching around the edges to add some interest to an otherwise neutral layout.

I kept my flower clusters small and mostly neutral as well since the pictures were busy enough and I wanted the attention to go to the pictures and not the embellies.

The Flower Add-On is gorgeous though and I couldn't resist adding one large copper color rose! :)

Thanks for stopping by and have a great weekend everyone!
