monday...Swirlydoos January Kit Layout #4

Just quickly sharing my last layout with the Swirlydoos January Kit, Shabby Chalet before we reveal the February Kit on the 5th!

"The Great Outdoors" Layout
For this layout I chose the earth tones colors to make this page. The pictures were taken in a recent hike my hubby and I did while I was pregnant already. We hiked for 3 hrs! I did some mixed media in the background using the Tim Holtz stamps and the Silks paint included int he kit. I love how soft and subtle it looks while at the same time adding a little more to the layout!


Here's a close up of the top right cluster. I mixed and matched different flowers from the Main Kit and Flower Add On to get a variety of textures, colors, and sizes. I also handmade some corrugated cardboard flowers and accented them with a pearl.

I made two tags that I used for journaling and tucked them in behind the pictures. I added some twine bows to them.
