I followed this tutorial to make it but my main left side panel is 3"x5" to accommodate the window. I feel that this side step card is so elegant looking and these orchids were begging to be put on an elegant card design! What do you think?

Here's another view from the top. You can see the dimension that this card has and all the layers and colors work wonderfully to achieve an elegant but soft look.

Here is the step by step write-up for this project:
The card measures 7"x5" and I followed this tutorial to make it with one adjustment. The main left side panel is 3"x5" to accommodate the window.
Make your card base out of heavy duty cardstock. Trim your blue pattern paper from the Botanical Orchid Collection 1/4" off each side and adhere to the main panel of the card base. Die cut a white gate and add to the left side of the card. Stamp the sentiment from the Botanic Orchid Wishes Stamp Set and color the flowers with Prismacolor Pencils and blend using Odorless Mineral Spirits. Trim this panel to 4"x4" and die cut a birder on the top side. Add a blue pattern paper behind the die cut border and adhere to the last panel of the card. Stamp and color using the pencils the hummingbirds, hummingbird border, flourish, bouquet and three extra orchids. Die cut using their coordinating die and add glitter and set aside to dry. Add the bouquet and flowers over the gate on the main panel. Stamp a sentiment, die cut and pop dot in the first step of the card. Tuck some flourishes behind it. Add the hummingbird border to the second step as shown. Tuck in a preprinted pattern paper border tot he bottom side to embellish it. Finally, add the larger hummingbirds to the left side of the card and last panel of the card. Finish off with tiny liquid pearl drops around the gate and sentiment area.

Thanks for stopping by! Remember to go to the Heartfelt Creations BLOG and check out what the other designers made with this week! Have a great rest of the week!
