wednesday...Heartfelt Creations

Welcome to February and a Wednesday post for Heartfelt Creations!

Today I have a layout I want to share with you:

Supplies-Heartfelt Creations:HCPC 3374 Flora Grande 2 Precut Set
HCPC 3375 Flora Grande 1 Precut Set
HCPC 3376 Distressed Leaves Precut Set
HCPC 3433 Book Frame 1 Precut Set
HCD 702 Decorative Butterfly/Border
HCD 712 Belle Rose
Brown Gala Glitz
Cuttlebug machine

Other:
GCD Studios Ella Blue Collection, Tim Holtz Distress Inks (Vintage Photo), Ranger Liquid Peals-white opal, Tattered Angels Gimmer Mist (Olive Vine), StazOn Archival Ink (Jet Black), Maya Road Mist (Blue Agave), White Signo pen, sewing machine

I used Linda's wonderful picture for this layout. I designed and cut the shaped background paper with my Pazzles Inspiration and distressed the background to give it dimension.

For the title, I used Lisa Gregory's Faux Scrabble Letter Tutorial but using these computer generated letters (scroll all the way to the bottom).

I die cut 3 butterflies and sandwiched all 3 layers to make the butterfly. I gave it a finished look by adding rhinestones and liquid pearls to the body.

I stamped the Book Frame 1 Precut Set stamp twice, hand cut and distressed them. I then pop dotted one on top of the other to give the book dimension.

Finally, I made some flowers using the Flora Grande stamps. I stamped, die cut them and glimmer misted them with Maya Road Blue Agave mist, molded them and added Gala Glitz to their center. I also stamped, cut and colored with glimmer mist (Olive Vine) some leaves and made a cluster with the flowers and leaves in the left side of the picture.

Here is the step by step write-up for this layout:
Trim a pattern paper to fit inside a 12x12 cardstock. Water distress the edges, let dry, and ink them with Vintage Photo. Cut out a die cut paper and mat it. Adhere to center of the background paper and doodle using a white pen around the edges to mimic stitch lines. Die cut 4 Decorative Butterfly/Border corners and adhere behind each corner of your matted photo. Adhere photograph to the layout a bit off centered. Stamp the Book Frame 1 twice, cut them and layer them on top of each other. Add to the left side of the picture. For the flowers, stamp two different size flowers 3 times and a few extra sizes for filling the cluster. Use a blue mister to color your flowers. Cusp all the petals, ink their edges and build your flowers as shown, adding Brown Gala Glitz to the flower centers. Stamp a few different size leaves from the Distressed Leaves Set, color them with Olive Vine glimmer mist, cut them and shape them with your fingers. Do the same with 2 Belle Rose leaves and adhere to the cluster as shown. Cut 2 cardstock and 1 vellum butterflies using from the Decorative Butterfly/Border die and layer them, leaving the vellum in the middle. Using your fingers, carefully lift the wings up. Add rhinestones to the center and liquid pearls to the wings. Randomly add different size liquid pearls around the cluster. Finish by adding a title to the bottom right side of the layout.
