wednesday...Heartfelt Creations

Happy Heartfelt Wednesday! Boy do I have some really cool news for you! Heartfelt Creations is launching their own paper line next week! There is a sneak peek in their blog today that you don't want to miss!

Today I want to share with you a layout that I made using Emma Lou and her hubby's sweet picture and the posy patch collection! I was very inspired by Emma Lou's dress for this layout and I ended up making yellow flowers to match her dress!

Supplies-
Heartfelt Creations:
HCPC 3303 Posy Patch Flowers Precut Set
HCPC 3306 Posy Patch Garden Delights Precut Set
HCPC 3323 Large Elegant Word Background PreCut Set
HCPC 3405 Leaf Medley Precut Set
HCD 701 Posy Patch
HCD 702 Decorative Butterfly/Border Die
HCD 716 Layered Elegant Swirl Die
472123 Foliage Shapeabilities
452255 Grand Calibur
9brn Brown Gala Glitz
207643 Yellow Gelatos
159951 Dries White Glue
DDOTS Double Dots 100pc.

Other: Tim Holtz Distress Inks (Vintage Photo), StazOn Archival Ink (Timber Brown), Prismacolor Pencils (PC908, PC909, PC916, PC945, PC947, PC1003, PC1034), OMS, Ranger Distress Markers (Forrest Moss), Martha Stewart Punch Around the Page (Wild Flowers), Recollections White Pearls, Rangers Stickles (cinnamon), black sharpie, Signo white pen, paper shaper scissors

I used the background script stamp to make my background. I just love this stamp! I also used the corner die to make a chipboard corner. I inked it with Vintage Photo and added tiny white pearls.

I stamped and die cut a beautiful yellow butterfly that I colored with color gelatos. I added white pearls to its body.

I stamped, colored and fuzzy cut a watering can. I just love how sweet it turned out!

Of course, I made a bunch of posies. I'm working on a tutorial on how I made the large bloom. Come back in a week to check it out!

Finally, I made two flower bunches and added them to the left side of the photo. I added gala glitz to their center and they instantly went from nice looking to amazing!

Here is the step by step write-up for this layout:
Randomly stamp the Large Elegant Word Background PreCut Set stamps using brown archival ink on white cardstock. Add the reverse of a die cut shaped paper over it. Ink some areas of the pattern paper and doodle faux stitches around the shaped paper. Place photo in the center of layout and tuck a punched and die cut border under it. Die cut a corner from the Posy Patch Garden Delights Precut Set out of a thicker packaging cardstock, ink and add to top let corner of photo. Die cut a semi-circle doily from the Layered Elegant Swirl Die set and tuck it in on the right side of the photo. Stamp two flowers bunches and one watering card on white cardstock. Color with Prismacolor Pencils and blend with OMS. Stamp a bunch of the smallest posies, die cut, color and add randomly over the flower bunches to give them dimension. Fuzzy cut the flower bunches and watering can. Add gala glitz to flower centers and add to layout as shown. For the large flower, stamp and die cut two of each of the largest posies. Using any paper shapers scissors, cut randomly around the edges of each petal to give them a jagged edge. Ink all the petals with brown ink and cut each petal apart. Using a stylus, cusp the petals as shown to give them dimension. Using only eight petals from the #6 posies, re build the flower. Nest the smaller flower inside the larger one and use a pop dot in between to give them dimension. Add gala glitz and cinnamon stickles to the center. For the rest of the flowers, stamp and die cut several posies in different sizes. Cusp the petals and add gala glitz to centers. Stamp, die cut and shape with your fingers some leaves from the leaf medley set. Add flowers and leaves to bottom side of the photo. Stamp, die cut and color using yellow gelatos a butterfly. Slightly ink edges and add to right side of photo. Add white pearls to its center. Add your title to the top right corner of your photo.
