tuesday...AWDML May 15 Reveal-Fiskars

Hi bloggers! I'm happy to announce that I now live in Kissimmee, Fl (10 mins away from Disney World!). The trip was long as we drove a UHaul truck from Miami to Kissimmee as well as a car on tow. The trip lasted almost 5 hrs but we made it just fine. It has now been 4 days since we moved here and the apartment is looking and feeling more and more like home  :)

Today, I also want to share with you my projects for AWDML's second Featured Manufacturer for the month of May- Fiskars!

Supplies- cardstock: DCWV; patterned paper: My Mind's Eye; letter stickers: Basic Grey, Fancy Pants; flowers: Prima; glitter: Stickles (Diamond, Black Diamond), Glimmer Mist (Frost, Burnt Red); ink: Tim Holtz; tools: Marvy Uchida 1" circle punch, Fiskars Border Punch (sunburst), Martha Stewart Corner Punch (optic dot); pens: Sharpie, Zig Opaque Writer; stamp: Fiskars; other: 3D paint, rhinestones from Joann, lace, hemp cord

I used Let's Capture These Memories Sketch #77 for this layout. The pictures are of my mom on the day that she became an American Citizen.

I made a pinwheel out of a red and blue pattern paper (American flag colors) and added a flower and some hemp cord to the center to soften it. I also handmade the big flourishes.

On the right side there is hidden journaling describing the day and how proud we are of my mom. I used a Fiskars border punch as a border to the circle. Come back in a week and I will teach you how I did this. I added some faux stitching to the circle and some machine stitching to the black background.

Supplies- cardstock: DCWV; patterned paper: My Mind's Eye; flowers: Hero Arts; ink: Tim Holtz; punch: Fiskars Threading Waters; tools: Cuttlebug, Pazzles; other: large blue flowers, ribbon

This is another layout for my sister-in-law's baby boy album that I'm working on right now. She is due on July 1st so I really need to finish this soon! This is the pregnancy page and right next to it goes the ultrasound page which I made using the same colors so that it would flow. She asked me not to use too many baby colors so I opted for blues/oranges/browns/greens for her baby album. I hope she likes it!

Here is the ultrasound page:

Supplies- cardstock: DCWV; patterned paper: My Mind's Eye; flowers: Hero Arts; ink: Tim Holtz; punch: Fiskars Threading Waters; tools: Cuttlebug, Pazzles; other: large blue flowers, ribbon

I cut the pregnant woman's silhouette with my Pazzles as well as the little bear. Isn't he the sweetest? I left plenty of space for hidden tags behing the main pictures so she journal all about my nephew. Can't wait to meet him!

Here are both pages side by side:

Finally, here are a card and tag featuring Fiskars:

Supplies- ribbon: Fancy Pants; punch: Fiskars; flowers: Prima; stamp: Fiskars, Magnolia; other: 3D paint, flowers from Michaels flower dept

This is a matching card and tag set that I made for a little girl's birthday. I used my Tilda stamp and Fiskar's sentiment stamps. The border punch is also by Fiskars and all the papers that I used here are leftovers so I'm very happy to have used my stash for this card! Notice that both the card and tag have the same basic design. You will see this again next month as I'm working on a tutorial for you!  :)

Supplies- paper: Basic Grey, Crate; ribbon: Fancy Pants; punch: Fiskars; stamp: Fiskars; bling: Stickles; other: hemp cord, Prima packaging

I used a Prima flowers packaging to make this tag. I just couldn't get myself to throw it away! I used Fiskars Threading Waters border punch a lot on this tag. I used the Threading Waters Border Punch for the brown border, the strip of paper that I weaved the pink ribbon through and placed on top of the thicker green ribbon and my medallion flower. This punch is very versatile and useful AND it's 25% off at AWDML this month! I cut the greenery with my Pazzles and used a Fiskars stamp for the sentiment.

Thanks for stopping by!

  3. Love all the artwork. I am new to your blog and so happy I discovered it. I absolutely adore what you've done with the tag. The flowers and leaves in addition to using Fiskars punches really makes this tag an excetional one. I look forward to your tutorial next week on AWDML.
