tuesday...North Coast Creations Christmas Cards

Hi everyone! I can't believe that it's December already! Where has the year gone? I have two cards that I made with North Coast Creation November release that I forgot to share last month so here they are.

My first card:

NCC Products: Cactus Lights

I made this one simple but striking by using bold colors for my background. I colored the cactus with Prismacolor Pencils and added a bright colored bow to pull this card together.

Here's a close up of the card:

Here's my second card:

NCC Products: Christmas Tree MaxwellCactus Lights

I just love this reindeer stamp! He's so much fun to color! Again, I used simple design elements but with a striking color combo. For this card I went with a blue/red combo and love how it turned out!

Thanks for stopping by my blog and I hope you have a great December!

Here's my first card:

NCC Products: Cactus Lights
ODBD Products: Elegant Ovals DieLeafy Edged Border DiesChristmas Paper Collection 2013

I used the ODBD Leafy Edged Border Dies to make the background for my card and the Christmas Paper Collection 2013 papers. I then stamped, colored and die cut using the ODBD Elegant Ovals Die the image of the cactus from the new Cactus Lights. I also stamped the sentiment right next to the cactus. Finally, I adhered the image to the center of the card and added a red bow.

Here's my second card:

NCC Products: Christmas Tree MaxwellCactus Lights

For this card, I stamped, colored and die cut the image of the reindeer from the new Christmas Tree Maxwell and I added it to the card front that I made using the ODBD Christmas Paper Collection 2013. I stamped the sentiment from the Cactus Lights on a piece of cardstock, die cut it, and added it to the right side of the image. Finally, I die cut a pine cone and some greenery and added above the sentiment along with a tiny green bow.

wednesday...Happy Birthday owl card

Happy Monday everyone!

Today I want to share 2 sweet birthday cards (a masculine and a feminine) using the newest stamp set Who Loves You? and its coordinating dies Owl Family Die from NCC!

I made this card for my cousin on her birthday who LOVES owls! I layered two different shades of green branches on the center of the inked and machine stitched pattern paper. I stamped, colored, and die cut the girl own and added her to one of the branches. I then die cut two Happy Birthday Die and added them over the greenery. I added stickles to the sentiment and on the owl to highlight some areas. I finally die cut some purple and pink flowers from the ODBD Birds and Nest Die and added them randomly to the card. I finished the card off by adding liquid pearls to the centers of the flowers and randomly around the greenery and flowers.

Here's a close up of the card for you to see all the dimension:

Here's the masculine card:

NCC Products: Who Loves You?Owl Family DieHappy Birthday Die
I decided to go for a more colorful card for this one. I always like to make cards for my stash for last minute not-so-close friends' birthdays. This one would be great a child's birthday! I colored the three owls in neutral colors and made them colorful party hats (TIP: just cut a triangle and add a punched hole circle to the top of the hat!). I pop dotted the hole and stuck one of the owls there. I then added one in each side. I also stamped and colored two tree branches and added them to the sides of the 'tree'. I inked all the edges and finished it off with a Happy Birthday die sentiment that i matted with the ODBD Antique Labels and Border Die.

friday...Whooo loves you card

The new Who Loves You? stamp set by NCC is so cute and I love that they now have a coordinating die too!

I had fun making this silly Love card with them!

NCC Products: Who Loves You?Owl Family DieFlourished Vine Die

I stamped, colored and die cut the branch and dad own and stamped the sentiment on the top left corner of the card. I added the branch on the right side of the card and I added the dad owl upside down. I doodled faux stitches all around the edge and inked it as well. I die cut a Flourished Vine Die and added it to the bottom side of the card. I made red tulips with the smaller boy own die, pop dotted them to give them dimension and added the bouquet over the vines. I finished it off with a red bow.

Here's a close up of the flowers:

friday...Happy Birthday Ice Cream Card

Hi everyone! Today I want to share a birthday card for Josiah's friend's 1st birthday!

NCC Products: Ice Cream Shoppe, Ice Cream
ODBD Products: Stitched Ovals DieBoho Background DiesVintage Flourish Pattern DieFlower Box Filler Die

I wanted to make a soft and sweet card and of course I had to use the Ice Cream stamp for it, coored in PINK! I love pink/brown color combos and knew that I wanted to use these colors for this little girls's 1st birthday. I colored the image with Prismacolor Pecils, fussy cut it and adhered unto two die cuts. I selectively stamped the Happy Birthday sentiment, omitting the words sweet and friend and added two tiny pink flowers in their place instead.

Here's a close up of the card:

I added stickles to the image and made the whipped cream using the liquid pearls. The spoon and cherry are glossy, although you can't tell by the picture. I finished it all off with a big pink bow!

Here's my first card:

NCC Products: Ice Cream

I kept this card pretty color neutral except for the pops of teal in the ice cream's glass cup and the buttons. I love the dark, rich brown of the chocolate ice cream (my favorite!) and the papers!

Here's a close up of the card:

Here's my second card:

NCC Products: Ice Cream Shoppe

This card a bit more shabby since I inked the background after I embossed it with the Sunburst Background Die. I stamped and die cut the image and then colored it with Prismacolor pencils, I also slightly inked the edges of the cream cardstock of the image and the sentiment. I finished it off with a big blue ribbon bow right under the sentiment.
