tuesday...Fragrance card

Hi everyone! I want to share with you my take on the ODBD Sketch Challenge #246!

Here's my card:

ODBD Products:  Fragrance, Flower Box Filler Die, Welcoming Window Die, Window Shutter and Awning Die, Trois Jolies Papillons, Trois Papillons Die, Fancy Foliage Die, Birds and Nest Die, Elegant Ovals Die, Beautiful Borders Die

I used the Fragrance flower stamp to make my own background. I stamped it randomly on white cardstock using Victorian Velvet distress ink. I trimmed the cardstock to 5.5"x4.25" and machine stitched the edges before adhering it to my card base. I die cut and embossed the window in white and added them over the borders on the left side as the sketch suggests. I stamped the sentiment in white cardstock and die cut and embossed it using the Elegant Ovals Die. I made some butterflies, roses, leaves and some tiny white flowers from the new Flower Box Filler Die and added all these embellies to my card to finish it off.

thursday...Happy Birthday Card

Hi everyone! I want to share with you my take on the ODBD Color Challenge #245!

Here's my card:

ODBD Products:  Fragrance, Home Sweet HomeLayered Lacy Squares DieRustic Beauty Paper Collection

I made this card for my mom's birthday and she absolutely loved it! I stamped the rose twice from the Fragrance set and colored it with Prismacolor pencils and blended them with OMS. I die cut the first flower using the Layered Lacy Squares Die and fussy cut the other one and layered it over the first flower using foam squares to give it some dimension. I stamped the sentiment on the bottom left corner. I die cut the largest lacy square in brown and centered it on the card. I then added the cream colored lacy square with the flowers over it. I machine stitched all around the edge of the card and distressed and inked the edges. I finished the card off with a bow on the bottom right corner, pearls and some Stickles on the flowers.

tuesday...ODBDSLC243 Father's Day Card

Come and join us for an Inspiration Challenge #243 over at Our Daily Bread Designs this week and get your Father's day cards done by this weekend!

Here's what I came up with:

I kept it simple and sweet, perfect for masculine cards. I used the Sunburst die inked with brown distress ink for the background and dusted off a piece of vellum (remember these!?) and used it to stamp my sentiment on it. i then placed it over the sunset and added a masculine -looking button from my stash.

wednesday...Father's Day Card ODBD

I have been busy making Father's Day cards these past few days and today I want to share one of these with you!

ODBD Products: Good Man, Workshop Tools Die, Pegboard and Hooks Die, Vintage Ephemera Collection

This card is inspired by this week's ODBD Sketch Challenge 242:

I just love these little tools and can't get enough of them! I made these in red since a lot of real tools are red and I thought it would be fun to have them look like the mini version. I used aluminum foil covered cardstock for the tips and this really makes them look almost real! This card is for my dad but my hubby kept saying "wow!" over and over again as I was making them! LOL It was too funny!

thursday...ODBDSLC240 Fluttering and Flying Challenge

Happy Thursday everyone! Today I want to share one last card I made with the Our Daily Bread Designs May Release!

I was inspired by the ODBDSLC240 Fluttering and Flying Challenge.

I love how soft and pretty this turned out! The Blushing Rose Paper Collection is my absolutely favorite paper pad and combined with the pretty Vintage Flourish Pattern Die is so elegant and shabby!

tuesday...ODBDSLC238 Sketch Challenge

Hi everyone! Today I want to share with you my take on Our Daily Bread Designs Sketch Challenge (ODBDSLC238)!

I mirrored the sketch so that my bird faces inside (I'm weird like that) and replaced the green layer with a white doily. I made another little blue bird and nest for this card. I can't get enough of how cute these are! I also made these bright yellow tiny flowers that give this card a pop of color!

and here's the sketch:

wednesday...April ODBD and OWH

Quick post to share with you my take on April's Our Daily Bread Design Challenge by Operation Write Home. This month's theme is masculine card and I just got a new (to me!) Our Daily Bread Designs stamp that is perfect for masculine cards!

Here's what I came up with:

I stamped and lightly colored the image with Prismacolor Pencils and blended them with OMS. I used a bunch of layers and inked the edges for a distressed, masculine look. I finally added some twine and two small brown circles as embellies to the bottom right corner and called it finished!

I love how it turned out and I'm so loving this new stamp! Here's one last look at my card:

tuesday...ODBD Challenge card

Happy Monday! I got another card made, this time for Our Daily Bread Designs ODBDSLC232, a color challenge!

Here are the colors:

and here's my take on the challenge using their gorgeous Butterfly Branch Stamp and matching die.

I love the soft color sin the palette and knew that it would go wonderfully with this stamps! I colored my image with Prismacolor pencils and blended them with OMS. I stamped two images and fuzzy cut the butterflies from the second to layer over the first image to give it extra dimension.

Here's a close up of the card.

Thanks for stopping by again and have a great week!

saturday...masculine anchor card

Hi everyone, welcome back! I have a masculine card to share with you.

I recently received my order from Our Daily Bread Designs and I had to use this awesome anchor stamp that I got from them! I love it already as it's awesome for masculine cards, which I know most people struggle with (I'm one of those!).

I colored the image with Prismacolors and blended them with OMS. I distressed and layered the papers to make it look 'rugged'.

I used a variety of Heartfelt Creations dies to embellish the card. I used the gears and the chain dies as well as leaves to add a bit of green into this card. I added an anchor charm at the end of the paper die cutter chain (this was so easy to do!).

I'm entering this card to these challenges:

I used Heartfelt Creations stamps and dies since the ones that I ordered from Our Daily Breads Designs haven't arrived yet. I hope they do soon though!
