monday...ScrapThat! October Kit-Layout #2

Hi everyone, I'm sorry I haven't been around as much posting on my blog or around in the scrapbooking galleries but last week we found out that a dear friend of ours had a heart attack and passed away. He had just turned 30 yrs old a week before. Our hearts ache for his wife and 2 young children that are left behind but we are certain that he is with God now. If you pray, please keep this family in your prayers.

Well, today I have another layout that I want to share with you that I made with the ScrapThat! October Kit.

This next layout is based on my October Sketch for ScrapThat!

(Everyone is welcome to participate, all entries due by October 15th)

"Ring Bearer"

I used the Main Kit only for this layout. The bling swirl, doily and large flower are from my stash. The pictures are of my brother-in-law, the ring bearer at my wedding, as he was walking down the aisle.

I added a white pearl swirl and a few flowers so that this page would match the rest of my wedding album. To keep this layout a bit more masculine, I used pendant-shaped edges on the strips of papers instead of scallops and more masculine colors (yellows, browns, greens).

Here's another view of the layers.

I also handmade the butterflies, leaves and title to match the rest of my wedding album.

Thanks for stopping by my blog today!

  1. This is soooo very beautiful! The big letter title remind me of Teresa Manchez's letters that I've always loved. They look awesome here! Such a frilly, feminine page .. but don't tell the ring bearer I said that! LOL
