wednesday...Heartfelt Creations

Happy Wednesday everyone! Today I have another layout to share with you that I made for Heartfelt Creations using their latest collection-Burst of Splendor Collection!

Supplies-

Other:
StazOn Archival Ink (Jet Black, Timber Brown), Tim Holtz Distress Ink (Vintage Photo), Tim Holtz Blending tool, Recollections White Pearls, Rangers Stickles (Diamond), The Robin’s Nest Dew Drops (Plumeria), Mrs. Grossman’s Alpha Stickers, Cuttlebug Victoria A2 Embossing Folder, embossing tool, pop dots

I wanted to go with a soft and dreamy feel on this layout featuring a picture of my adorable niece Amy when she was only 2 months old. I used the gorgeous soft pink/purple papers from this collection and added some darker purple and white flowers to add some dimension and color. Finally, I fuzzy cut two large dahlias and added them to opposite corners of the layout. I also stamped  a few dahlia stamen around around the top area of the layout and added stickles to it.

Here's a close up of the soft bi-color purple flowers that I made!

Purple rose covered with glitter!

Close up of the fuzzy cut dahlia flower. It's so dreamy! I added a few small butterflies throughout the page.

I titled this layout 'Sleeping Beauty'. I die cut the title area and pop dotted over the heart doily. I added a few more butterflies to this layout add add movement.

Another look at the cluster on the other side of the photo.

I just *LOVE* how these stamens look so dreamy in this page. I feel that they 'make' the page, if you will.

Another look at the stamped stamens. They remind me of dandelions flying around the wind.

Here is the step by step write-up for this project:
Stamp the large dahlia flower from the Blooming Dahlia Precut Set on a light color pattern paper with black archival ink and fuzzy cut them. Mat your photo and adhere it on your layout, tucking in the large dahlias under the top right and bottom left side of the photo. Cut a strip of pattern paper to 10”x1” and fuzzy cut a border and tuck in under the photo horizontally to anchor it. For the flowers, stamp a bunch of different size roses on purple pattern paper and some on a darker colored purple cardstock. Shape and layer them to form full roses. Stamp three of the five pointy petal flowers on white cardstock and die cut them with its coordinating die. Add a pearl to their center. Stamp and die cut a bunch of leaves from the Open Leaf PreCut Set and Classic Leaf PreCut Set and die cut them with its coordinating die as well. To make the title, stamp the smaller dahlia cluster on pattern paper with brown ink, die cut with a Shapeabilities Labels 4 die and add the title on the top. Die cut the heart from the Timeless Amour Die and emboss the inside heart with a Cuttlebug embossing folder. Pop dot the stamped title over it and add to the bottom right side of the photo. Add the flowers and leaves around the photo to form the cluster. Stamp and die cut a few butterflies and add scatter them around the layout. Finally, stamp the dahlia stamen around the photo on the left and right side with brown archival ink. Add stickles to these pieces to highlight them.
