I had so much fun with layout experimenting with different ways to use the flower center die cut! I kept the layout pretty neutral and used the photo's bright flowers as focal points. To balance it out, I made two bright color flowers using the the new floral center die.
I used a lot of layers on this layout and machine stitched the edges. I stamped and fuzzy cut the title and added the alphas to spell 'always' on top.
Here's a close up of some of my flowers for this layout. I used the pink one as a radial base for my stacked sentiment circles (love these things!) and added a simple pearl to the purple one. For the rest of the flowers, i sued the center die as it was intended and used a glittery pink brad to hold the flower together.
Here's a better view of the pink layered flower/embellie.
I used an older green leaves/vines and tucked them into the cluster. I stamped and die cut/embossed the largest circle sentiment from the new collection and inked it randomly to age it a bit.
For the postcard, I heat embossed it and distressed thee edges. Love how it adds so much texture to my layout!
Here is the step by step write-up for this project:
Distress the edges of a background paper using the
Distrezz-it-All tool and ink the edges with Vintage Photo distress ink. Make
random tears around the edges and tuck in a different colored distressed
pattern paper. Machine stitch and adhere the background layer unto a cream
colored cardstock. Die cut an 8” circle, ink the edges and adhere over the
background a bit off centered. Heat emboss the post card stamp unto a cream
colored cardstock. Cut it out in a rectangle and distress the eedges with the
Distrezz-it-All tool and distress ink. Add a photo to center of layout over the
circle and tuck in the post card distressed layer under the top right side of
the photo. Cut out two strips of 1” and 1.5” of pattern papers in different
colors and tuck in underneath the photo. Stamp and die cut using its
coordinating die some tattered florals and add the new flower center die cuts
to their center using a pink glittery brad. Die cut two of the flower centers
but leave them open. Stagger the petals and add a white pearl to one and two
layers of the stamped and die cut circle sentiments, topped with another white
pearl. Die cut three green leaves from the Western Broncos Die. Stamp and die
cut with a large Shapeabilities circle die a circle sentiment. Ink the edges
and emboss. Arrange the flowers and leaves around the photo as shown and tuck
in the circle sentiment as well. For the title, stamp the thinking of you title
and fuzzy cut. Adhere over the top left corner of the photo. Add the word
always in pink to the top.
