Come back throughout the month and I'll share close up pictures and tip and techniques on each one of my layouts but now, without any further ado, are my layouts using the Swirlydoos January Kit, Shabby Chalet!

Here's what  did with this gorgeous kit!

"Fun Memories" Layout
My first layout is based on the January Sketch. The pictures are of my niece and I posing in front of my Christmas tree early in December. She is so much fun and I was so exited that her mommy captured these pictures for me! Come back later in the month and I'll show you how to make the fluffy pink flowers!

Here's this month's beautiful sketch:

"First Baby" Layout
I used the soft pinks and whites in the January Kit to create this layout of my mom and I. The picture was taken the weekend I told her she was going to be a grandma for the first time so you can image her excitement! I went for a girly layout since the picture was of my mom and I . I used the flowers from the Flower Add on kit and handmade the leaves and butterflies. The small doilies are from my stash and I cut the title with my Pazzles Inspiration.

"The Great Outdoors" Layout
For my second layout I chose the earth tones colors to make this page. The pictures were taken in a recent hike my hubby and I did while I was pregnant already. We hiked for 3 hrs! I did some mixed media in the background using the Tim Holtz stamps and the Silks paint included int he kit. I love how soft and subtle it looks while at the same time adding a little more to the layout! I hand made the corrugated cardboard flowers using a die.

"Boy" Layout
This layout is my all time fav! My hubby took this picture of me on my birthday last year after we found out we were having a little boy! I turned the photo B&W but left the booties blue. I used the blue tones in this kit to make this soft layout. I wrote a letter to my unborn son that is hidden behind the picture. Everything I used for this layout came from the main kit or Flower Add On Kit. I added the butterflies and alphas from my stash.

Altered Blue Tin
My last project is an altered blue tin that I found at the Dollar Store. I've been organizing my scraproom for a while now and I needed a place for my Prismacolor Pencils and this little blue tin was perfect for it! I used some ribbon from my stash and paired them with some of the beautiful lace in this month's kit. I used some of the blue flowers and a Prima clock as embellies.

Here's a better look a the embellies:

  18. I absolutely LOVE each of your projects! I didn't realize you were so close. I live in the Tampa Bay Area. I think I will check with Krissy when she gets back to see if there is a way to get a list of all Swirly sisters and there locations. I bet there are more of us local than we know and maybe we could set up our own little swirly getaway.
