An exquisite blending of classic winter scenes depicting gentle snowfalls, candle lit windows, countryside sleigh rides mixed with a sprinkling of fun filled images of frosty snowmen delivers the perfect compilation of winter themed imagery for all of your holiday and chilly season creations. This newest collection features three cling stamp sets revealing illustrations of towering pine trees and frosty snowmen ideal for creating spectacular winter scenes, a large gift tag perfect for adding that special handmade touch to all of your beautifully wrapped gifts, as well as a wide variety of snowflakes which when paired with the coordinating dies will allow you to build one of a kind dimensional flakes as realistic and individual as those in a gentle snowfall. The charming paper collection showcases beautiful hues of cozy blues and rich pine greens accented with deep burgundies creating exquisite backdrops to showcase patterns of elegant snowflakes, windswept swirls, playful polka dots and beautiful brocades resembling those found on a cozy handmade quilt. And, this unique collection brings with it a special surprise…a small gift box die ready to be cut, assembled and embellished, making packaging smaller gifts quick and easy during the busiest time of the year! I chose an older picture of my hubby and I taken in Steven's Pass in Washington State back in 2011. It's one of the few times I've seen snow (It was actually my first time!) and I just love this picture of the two of us together! I went with a softer feel for this layout and used lots of blues, greens and whites.
Here are some close ups of my layout:
Here is the step by step write-up for this project:
Trim a pattern paper from the Snow Kissed Paper Collection to 10.5"x10.5" and adhere over a coordinating pattern paper from the same collection. Die cut and dry emboss 6 large snowflakes and add them to the center of the background in a circle to create a large doily. Trim two 6"x6" papers and add to center of the doily. Add your 6"x4" picture over it. Stamp the two larger spruce trees on white cardstock. Color, die cut and add glitter and set aside to dry. Once dry, add to the left side of the photo. Heat emboss a bunch of white snowflakes in different sizes on light blue cardstock. Choose a few and pop dot them using a smaller snowflake on top of a larger one. Finish these by adding a light blue pearl to their center. Add to your layout as shown. Stamp and emboss on vellum a few flowers from the Cascading Fuchsia Cling Stamp Set and die cut with its coordinating die. Gently shape your flowers and layer a smaller flower inside a larger one. Finish your flower by adding white prills to their centers. Add one over the trees and three on the opposite corner of the photo. Finally, randomly add a few pieces of string rhinestones to the inside of the 10.5"x10.5" pattern paper as shown.
