wednesday...Heartfelt Creations September New Release

Welcome everyone! Today is the second Wednesday of the month which means that we have a brand new Heartfelt Creations Release!

Beautiful in color, exquisite in fragrance, and ever so dignified, the rose is one of the most coveted flowers found in chic bouquets, or carefully tended flower gardens. Breathtaking in bud form, as a blossom gently opening, or in full bloom, it is a flower that calls attention to itself and beckons you to pause and quietly reflect upon its elegance. Heartfelt Creations invites you to stop, fall quiet and immerse yourself in the breathtaking beauty of the new Classic Rose Collection! Filled with delicate illustrations of roses ranging from buds, to full blossoms, rose wreaths and flower filled vines, the three cling stamp sets and coordinating dies included in this assembling will have you building gorgeous rose gardens filled with varying sizes of dimensional flowers as realistic as those found in nature themselves. The captivating decorative paper collection will whisk you away to perfectly manicured rose filled grounds, serene meadows where brooks babble and wild roses hold their heads high, and alluring views from charming old world buildings clad in weathered brick and vining florals. The handsome color palette of regal purples, deep brick like reds, rich corals and leafy greens filled with delicate swirls, stunning brickwork and floral patterns, along with tender handwritten script are among just a few of the magnificent elements found within this graceful paper assembling. So join us as we slow down, enjoy the view and take some time to linger and smell the roses.

If you have been following my blog for a little bit you know that I LOVE roses (and any flowers, really!) so of course I had to pull out a wedding picture of my hubby and I and embellish the layout with some beautiful roses! I chose the soft peach colors in the new paper collection for my background and flowers. I embellished my layout witht he new flowers, green swirly leaves, butterflies and beautiful Want 2 Scrap Pearl Swirl and pearls!

Here are some close ups of my layout:

Here is the step by step write-up for this project:
Fussy cut a large heart (approximately 8" across) from a light color pattern paper from the Classic Rose Paper Collection. Distress the edges and ink the edges them using the Victorian velvet distress ink. Machine stitch all around the edges and adhere over the center of a paper from the Classic Rose Paper Collection. Add your 6"x4" photo over it as shown. For the flowers, stamp a bunch of different size flowers from the Classic Rose Cling Stamp Set on peach colored pattern paper from the same collection and die cut the using their coordinating die. Shape the flowers to form two large closed and two medium closed roses. Also make a few rose buttons and a few open roses and add Prills to their centers. Add glitter to their edges and set aside to dry. Stamp a few leaves and vines and add color using the Forest Moss distress ink. Finish with a layer of Pearl glimmer mist. Stamp and die cut two large butterflies from the Butterfly Medley Cling Stamp Set. Color just one of the sides and add glimmer mist to them. Once dry, add pearls to their centers. Cut a Want 2 Scrap pearl swirl and add them around the photo. Use the flowers, greenery and butterfly to embellish the layout as shown. Finish by adding a sentiment strip across the flower cluster on the right side of the layout.

Thanks for stopping by! Remember to go to the Heartfelt Creations BLOG and check out what the other designers made with this NEW Release! Have a great rest of the week!
