wednesday..step by step of a double layout

We are celebrating Christmas in July over at A Walk Down Memory Lane and today I will be showing you how you can make this Christmas themed double layout and perhaps help you get caught up with your Christmas layouts!

Supplies

Step 1. Cut out a 12"x5" and a 12"x1" strips of the Echo Park Paper Merry Christmas Border Strip paper and glue them onto the Pink Paislee 365 Think Big like so. I left 2 inched from the edges. Add a snowman border from the Bazzill Basic Just the Edge (Christmas) pack in the empty space between the two red pattern papers. Do this twice as we are making a double layout and we want it to flow.

Step 2. Trim 3" from the right side of the Pink Paislee Tinsel Town A Christmas Carol Die cut paper and glue both pieces over your background. I used my sewing machine to sew around the edges of the red pattern paper but this is not necessary. (sorry, I ran out of the snowman border in the second page! You wont see this after the layout is completed though since the pictures will go over them)

Step 3. Gather your pictures and mat them. My pictures dimensions are as follows: two (2.75"x3.5"), two (5"x3.5"), two (4"x6"), and three (2.5"x1.75") and I matted them on white Bazzill cardstock.

Step 4. Gather your embellies! I handmade my own poinsettia flowers that I designed and cut using my Pazzles Inspiration machine but you can use my tutorial to make poinsettias very similar to this. I used some Robin's Nest Dew Drops as their centers. I hand drew some leaves and stickled them and I also punched out some oak leaves using Martha Stewart Oak Leaf punch (not pictured).

Step 5. Now is the fun part! Glue down your photos like so and add the flower clusters. Add some Prima Crystals Flourishes to the flower cluster in the bottom left and the top middle side. Add your title now. Use Pink Paislee Fashion Script Alpha Stickers Green for the word Christmas. Add a few small rhinestones using your Imaginisce i-Rock Heat Setting Tool. Use Thickers for the rest of the title and add some journaling on the right side of the layout and that's it! You have yourself a double Christmas themed layout!
