monday...77th bday layout (Tim Holtz)

Hi everyone! I hope that you are having a great day so far! I have a quick layout to share with you today but come back tomorrow and I'll show you how I made it, step-by-step, and using only scraps!

Here's my layout:

The pictures are of my grandpa's 77th birthday party, back in 2010. For the background  I used 3"x3" squares from the scraps drawer but I'll tell you more on this tomorrow.

I made the flowers using Tim Holtz Tattered Florals. I haven't used these in a while and completely fell in love with them, all over again!

I love the fact that you can cut pretty much anything with them! I cut cardboard and denim fabric with them to make these flowers. I used Prima wooden buttons as flower centers.

I added the date (Prima alphas) on a TH bookplates and added some more tiny TH denim flowers.

Here's a smaller cluster that I created on the other side of the pictures. I used some more sweet corrugated cardboard flowers, distressed with TH Vintage Photo, of course! I made the little chipboard piece from scratch. I die cut the piece using Sizzix Decorative Flourishes Set to die cut the flourish out of thin chipboard. I then distressed it with TH Vintage Photo and added crackle paint to it.

Thanks for stopping by my blog today! Come back tomorrow and I'll show you a step by step on how I made the background using only scraps and how I made those flowers-you don't want to miss it! :)
