Happy Monday! I hope that everyone had a wonderful weekend!
As promised, I'm back to share close up pictures and tip and techniques on each one of my layouts that I made using the January Swirlydoos Kit.
"Boy" Layout
"Boy" Layout
This layout is my all time fav! My hubby took this picture of me on my birthday last year after we found out we were having a little boy! I turned the photo B&W but left the booties blue. I used the blue tones in this kit to make this soft layout. Everything I used for this layout came from the main kit or Flower Add On Kit. I added the butterflies and alphas from my stash.
I was inspired by Scrap Around The World January MoodBoard, Challenge #9 for this layout.

I pulled the blues from all the pictures and ended up with a monochromatic blue layout, with touches of whites here and there. I was also inspired by the flowers so I included a bunch of them in my layout. Finally, i was inspired by the circles in the Moodboard images and included these in subtle ways such as the circle lollipop flowers from Prima and the round clock.
I loved the little bunny in the corner and made sure I made him part of the layout! I just added some embellies around him to highlight him on the layout.
I distressed my layers but didn't ink them. I wanted an airy feel to this layout. I added a little lace from the kit and used some older Thickers and sticker words fro my title.
I used a bunch of flowers from the kit as well as the Add On Flowers. I also added a butterfly or two to soften my page.
Finally, I wrote a private letter (my hubby doesn't even know about it) to my unborn son that is hidden behind the picture. Here's how the hidden tag pulls out. I wrote about how I felt when I found out he was indeed a boy as I had a feeling from the very beginning when I first found out I was pregnant. I hope he appreciates this letter when he's older,
Thanks for stopping by & have a wonderful week!
