I admit that it was out of my comfort zone but that made it challenging for me which means that I had to try it a few different times!
Here are the cards that I made:
I made a Love, Masculine, Kid and Feminine following the same sketch and I love how they all turned out! I used the same card base and generic sentiment so that they can be used for any occasion by our Heroes.
Card #1:
I always struggle with children cards but I picked up this little dinosaur at Hobby Lobby last week and I'm having so much fun using him in my cards! I made the card bright and happy and used primary colors for it.

Card #2:
My second card is a Feminine card that can be used for Easter or even Mother's Day. It's pretty, pink, and it has tiny flowers and rhinestones on a soft cream background. I machine stitched the edges and doodles with a white pen around the circles to give it a coherent look.

Card #3:
This is my Masculine card and just like most people, I have trouble making these but I'd say that this was a success! I love how the greens and blues work together so well with the brown and the buttons bring them all together! Remember that for OWH you need to use very thin buttons (the size of a man's shirt button).

Card #4:
My last card is a Love card and I kept if simple and bold with the black embossed background and pops of red and pink. I did use glitter on my hearts but I sealed them with glossy accent. Remember that we can't use loose glitter on our cards for our Heroes because that can endanger them.

All of your cards are wonderful! Really love the dinosaur, cheery, bright and love the fussy cut with the circle, really cute! TFS!
ReplyDeleteHi! Your cards are stunning. That's a really challenging sketch (I haven't even tried it yet) and you have shown just how great a sketch it is. I love the dino and the beautiful dp's and texture you used. Great work!
ReplyDeleteWell done...dino-mite on the kid friendly card!
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh, for someone who felt out of her comfort zone, you made four fabulous cards! Each one is a wonderful interpretation of the sketch. Thanks so much for playing along with our OWH Sketch Challenge.
ReplyDeleteThe Dino dude is cool. Great job.
