The pictures I used were taken during my honeymoon and these went so well with the new collection! I used two 3"x4" pictures and layered them over some burlap on the left side of the layout. For the background, I distressed a layer of 11"x11" pattern paper and added it over another 12"x12" sheet and crumbled the corners to give it depth.
Other Materials:
Burlap, Cuttlebug Die Cutting Machine, StazOn Archival Ink (Jet Black), Prismacolor Pencils (PC901, PC903, PC947, PC939, PC1034, PC945, PC1003), Odorless Mineral Spirits, Tim Holtz Distress Ink (Peeled Paint, Vintage Photo), Tim Holtz Blending tool, Tim Holtz distresser, Recollections Pearls, embossing tool, liquid pearls
I stamped, colored and die cut the flowers, leaves, coral flourish and turtle, and added them as a cluster on the corner of the photos over the burlap. I added a pearl tot he flowers' centers and glitter to make them shine.
I stamped a porthole and some more flowers and leaves, colored and die cut them, and added them on the bottom right side to balance the layout.
Here's one last view of the layout so see all the dimension from the flowers and layers!
Here is the step by step write-up for this project:
Trim one sheet of pattern paper from the Under the Sea Collection to 11" and distress the edges. Adhere over a coordinating 12x12 pattern paper. Add a 6"x8.5" burlap to the left side of the layout. Mat two 3"x4" pictures unto a 6"x5" distressed pattern paper and add over the burlap. Stamp the porthole, color with Prismacolor Pencils and die cut it with its matching die. Add over the right bottom corner. Stamp and color using Prismacolor Pencils a fish from the Under the Sea Cling Stamp Set and the turtle and the coral flourish from the Coral Reef Collage Cling Stamp Set. Add glitter and set aside to dry. Stamp the hibiscus and leaves from the Tropical Hibiscus Cling Stamp Set and add color the leaves with the distress inks and the flowers with Prismacolor Pencil PC939. Shape flowers, add a pearl to their centers, add glitter and set aside to dry. Stamp a sentiment from the Heartfelt Wishes Cling Stamp Set on white cardstock and make a banner with it. Once everything is dry, add the finished embellishments to the layout as shown. Thanks for stopping by!
