wednesday...make your own gate chipboard tutorial

Today I have a quick tutorial on how to make your own chippies! In the NEW Heartfelt Creations June Release there is this gorgeous gate die that I thought would be perfect as a chipboard so I did what crafters do and made one for my layout!

Here's the step by step tutorial on how to make it.

-HCD 7100 Heartfelt Creations Botanic Window Die
-brown heavyweight cardstock

Step 1. Die cut 4 gates from a light brown heavyweight cardstock.

Step 2. Adhere all the layers together to form a thick gate.

Step 3. Embellish/treat your 'chipboard' however you like!
For mine, I randomly inked it with my Vintage Photo Distress Ink pad until I liked the color and then added Clear Rock Candy crackle paint over it for a rustic feel.

Here's a close up of the finished gate before I used in on my layout HERE.

Thank you for stopping by my blog today! Drop me a line if you used this tutorial! I'd love to see what you create with it!
